☠ HACKIN'GAMES back to site

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

This policy explains what HACKIN'GAMES ("we", "us") collects when you use hackingames.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

1. What we collect

  • Account data — if you create an account: your email address, a chosen handle, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
  • Gameplay data — your scores, XP, ranks, achievements, and progress.
  • Local data — we use your browser's localStorage to remember your handle and progress on your device. This isn't sent to us unless you create an account.
  • Payment data — if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number; we keep only a Stripe customer/subscription reference and your plan status.
  • Technical data — basic request information (e.g., IP address) used by our host, Cloudflare, for security and rate-limiting.

2. How we use it

To run the Service: authenticate your account, save your progress, show leaderboards, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and improve the games. We don't sell your personal data.

3. Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to operate: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting, database, security). They process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments. We may also disclose data if required by law.

4. Cookies & local storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and browser localStorage to save your handle and progress. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Some external links (e.g. on our "level up IRL" page) are partner links and may be tagged accordingly.

5. Data retention & your rights

We keep account data while your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data — including deleting your account — by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA.

6. Children

The Service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll remove it.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
